Her birth was shrouded in mystery and secrecy. A lot of rumors surrounding her weight, her beauty, even her owners set many tongues wagging. And now twenty years later, this beauty is still a favorite with many. The beauty we are referring to is none other than Lady Moura, one of the most extravagant superyachts to have ever been built. The superyacht was built by German, Hamburg based yard of Blohm+Voss who delivered her in 1990. As years passed, more information regarding the yacht surfaced. The LOA of the yacht is 105 meters, 18.5 meters wide, with a draught of 5.5 meters. The superyacht is powered by two 6868HP Deutz-MWM TBD510BV12 diesels giving her a speed of more than 20 knots. The yachts interior was done up by the famous Italian Luigi Sturchio while the naval architecture was done in house by Blohm+Voss. The big yacht boasts of seven decks with Tenders, anchors and such all stored behind hydraulic doors, to give the yacht a clean hull. Not much info is available regarding this yachts layout and interiors. The top deck is said to boast of an indoor swimming pool with a roof that slides open. The deck below the bridge deck supposedly is the owner’s paradise: aft of the central staircase a massive owner suite with a private aft balcony and fore of the main staircase are the different apartments for the owner’s family. So opulent is her interior, that she is even rumored to have a 59 ft dining table onboard, created by Viscount Linley. Besides this, the yacht has two chase boats, the Mangusta 92 Little Saf and the 100 ft DeBirs Little Sarah. The yacht also boasts of her very own helipad with a helicopter, a Sikorsky S-76B. One feature that is known to everyone about this yacht is her beach club. Along the waterline she has a beach club that stretches from port to starboard with large hydraulic platforms that fold down from her hull. Lady Moura is even rumored to deploy shark nets to provide safe swimming spots. A truly exceptional yacht, no wonder it is one of the most searched names on many search engines. What is more, the Lady Moura serves as a permanent residence for her owner and his family. She can be seen in Monaco or Palma and making trips around the northern parts of the Mediterranean. But the luxury vessel, the Lady Moura, ran aground on Saturday after hitting submerged rocky outcrop near the port. Two local hotel-owned beaches were briefly closed due to the potential of fuel leaks. The 354-yacht was pulled off the hazard by a tugboat. Two large holes were given a patch job and then the boat headed to Gibraltar for repairs. The yacht belongs to Saudi billionaire Nasser Al-Rashid, who is said to have paid more than 200 million dollars for the yacht and luckily has enough cash to restore his baby back into tip top shape.
