The Navigator of the Seas was built at Kvaerner Masa yards in Finland for Royal Caribbean Cruises. The ship is 311.1m (1,020ft) in length and has a breadth of 38.6m (126ft) at waterline level (or 49.1m / 161ft at the bridge wings) Its height is 72.3m (237ft) from keel to the top of the funnel. With a gross tonnage of approximately 140,000t the Navigator of the Seas has a passenger capacity of 3,807 passengers accommodated in 1,557 staterooms, almost 50% of which have balconies. The crew capacity is 1,213 and the number of crew cabins is 690. On Decks 2, 3 and 4, the Metropolis theatre seats 1,359. Deck 2 has a multimedia screening room / cinema seating 60 persons and a large conference centre for up to 400 guests. The Royal Promenade affords inside staterooms a view. Almost 10% of Navigator's staterooms have bay windows overlooking the Royal Promenade. The staterooms are on Decks 6 to 9. On Deck 6 there is the Business Service Centre, complete with PCs with internet connections. On Deck 7 is the library, with a panoramic view overlooking the Royal Promenade. On Deck 8 is the Royal Caribbean Online internet lounge with 19 PCs. On Deck 9 is the Concierge Lounge while Deck 10 contains the largest guest staterooms, the wheelhouse and some of the officers' cabins. In the main midship pool area on Deck 11 there are two main swimming pools, four jacuzzis and one cooling pool. Deck 12 contains the Adventure Ocean facilities for children and teens and in the forward part of the divided deck 13, above the ShipShape Centre, is the St. Tropez sunbathing area. Aft is a nine-hole miniature golf, driving range and golf simulators, a roller blade track, a basketball / paddleball / volleyball court and a sports equipment outlet.
